Emery embodies the creative tension that sets Minneapolis apart. The cold, cement cityscape gives way to woodgrain and midribs in leafy flora, generating a warmth that is both provoking and intriguing.

The Midland National Bank building has always been that of a beacon for the community—a source of pride where all could experience welcome and innovative service. Newly acquired by KHP Capital Partners, the building’s modern identity as a hotel was being reimagined. Our ask was to develop a concept, identity, and experience that embodied global sensibilities while being locally connected.
