Nearly a decade ago, RJ Scaringe dreamt of an electric vehicle unlike any other. Since then, it changed names, locations, and even major plans. And while some have become skeptical about its release, Rivian always remained focused on disruption, on being the startup that could dethrone major OEMS and taking on Big Oil. In order to do so, they focused on doing the right things for the right reasons.
With their recent IPO, we assisted the digital team to time the release of their App and Gear shop perfectly for maximum cultural impact.
App Adventure Feed
If you are a Rivian owner, you will possess the Rivian App - the infinite, digital owner's manual. The app enables access, educates on connectivity, provides service, support & roadside functions but also provides cultural insights and can even fine tune the perfect climate control. Our focus was the Adventure Feed and onboarding video, a collaboration with friends and genius animators, Unlimited Time Only.

Gear Shop
As new drivers and the eCurious visit the Gear Shop, they'll be met with unapologetic minimalism and a focus on beautifully curated products: Snowpeak mugs, Rivian branded t-shirts, the now-legendary camp kitchen, and the gear tunnel shuttle. Tepui rooftop tents designed to accompany the R1T, a field kit, and off-road recovery kit, the Rivian Wall Charger, and much more can be accessed through an easy-to-navigate classification system.
